The 2013 GMC Acadia offers a completely new body style.  With a fresh new face and a more premium-looking interior, the 2013 Acadia hopes to increase its market share in the crossover segment. The 2013 GMC Acadia is powered by a 3.6L V-6 VVT DI engine, which develops 288 hp (215 kW) at 6300 rpm and 270 lb-ft (366 Nm) of torque at 3400 rpm. The almost 300 hp are able to offer the new Acadia a maximum towing capacity of 5000 lb (2268 kg) (the full specifications of the 2013 GMC Acadia are available lower down this page). The engine of the new Acadia is mated to a Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic transmission. In terms of exterior design, GMC has remodeled the 2013 Acadia’s entire front fascia. It now comes with new HID headlights with integrated LED DRLs (daytime running lights), a new front grille, and newly designed fog lamps. At the rear, the 2013 GMC Acadia features new taillights, and a few other minor design changes. The interior of the new GMC Acadia 2013 has also been re-designed. It now features higher quality materials, red ambient lighting, aluminum accents and a Color Touch navigation system.

GMC’s 2013 Acadia is the first vehicle to feature GM’s new front center air bag system. Apart from it, the 2013 Acadia comes with the Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert systems, too, as well as other safety systems.
